Yamama, a girl living in a male-dominant conservative island. Some events happened, made her decide to break the false stereotypes about what love of family, spouse and friends mean.
You will be playing as Yamama, facing all these people who once were your closest, in order to get your freedom. Each one will give you a quest to solve.
Genre: Puzzle Adventure
2D PC RPG game targeting adolescents in developing countries. The game aims to raise awareness of young people’s right to make their own life choices with no outer pressure
Environment: 2D. Calm Pastel colors, as the psychological experience of the game is intense, the environment will try to bright things up.
Music: Yamama has her iPod and headphones which gives the player the option to play their own music while playing. (connect music folder –mp3 format- to the game. But the player won’t be able to make conversations or solve challenges while listening to music)

Concept Inspiration
The game aims to make young people in similar situations to Yamama aware that they have the right to confront, struggle, and not fall under emotional pressure, nor give up their dreams.
The game starts with a short video that clarifies the rivals motives and psychological backgrounds, while also explaining the events that made Yamama change her heart, showing that good intentions sometimes aren’t enough. The video will include clues that will help solve the game.
There is a bunch of dear friends of Yamama around the island, who will direct her with instructions & helpful tips & tools about how to solve quests.
These helpful friends characters represent the paradox of: humans being social and needing support; and humans being hurt and demotivated by other humans, where we hurt each other the most when loving each other the most, where love sums the whole paradox up.
Island Map
The map, shaped as a Yamama, represents the internal struggle Yamama is having, as she is outside there standing against those who once were her closest. It represents the hard times people who are in her position go through, the battles they fight inside their heads.
Also an isolated island, serves the purpose of being captured away from freedom.
Core Mechanics
There is a unique time system for the game. It’s essential because Yamama have to go home every day before sunset, which gives her a time limit to go out and play quests, she has to balance between discovering and wandering around, and between accomplishing the missions
In each level dialogues, you can make choices how the conversation go, but you have to be careful because there is weak narratives that will cause you to lose. For example: sorry mom, I didn’t mean to hurt you, I’m backing off.
This way you lose the mom’s challenge and you restart the level
There is optional filler challenges that can be taken anytime; it doesn’t affect the gameplay progress as long as you watch for the sunset. These are little hidden rewards for curious explorers.
The game starts with a wild adventure in the wood as explained later, so the player is caught up in both the story and the game play.
Gameplay develops from the real exciting adventure at first. To more storytelling and chill brain puzzles in the middle, to a fun relaxing drinking game at the end. Then the final level, the successful escape
Gameplay
Yamama wakes up in her room every morning, she goes out to the living room, where her sister is watching TV. She goes outside to start her adventure:

2- Go see George, where she breaks up with him, and they have to exchange cards back.
Part one: The Car Race
Yamama leaves, and he follows her to get his card back. She gets in her friend’s car and starts driving; he also gets in his car and starts driving. If he gets there before her, he will make crossing the woods harder for her. Therefore, she has to win this car race of this level, to guarantee an easier success in the second part
Part two: Passing The Wood
Yamama knows the wood is full of traps, since she once passed it with George.

Passing the mills field:
The old windmills are obsolete. Some parts are broken, if you jump on them, you get injured and die. You restart the level.
Since the windmills are spinning, you have to wait till the right moment to jump to the next turbine (clarifying why mass center for some positions of Yamama in the beneath drawing doesn't make sense)
She has to balance between waiting the mill to spin to the right angle, standing in the right spot, and jumping to the right one at the right timing.
Effect of losing the car race: George will make the windmills spin 10% faster in order to stop Yamama
Passing the Mines Field:
After crossing the mills, you are faced with a mines field, you start walking carefully. Some mines are too old and will not explode, some are still active.
There will be animals passing every now and then, stepping on these mines. When they do you have to stay on a clear distance or you die and you start over. Therefore, you have to wait sometimes even if you can pass that mine, because an animal will step on it, it will explode, you will die.
Effect of losing the car race: There will be less of the animals that pass and step on the mines.

Part one : Solve the Sudoku

Part Two: Link the Dots
This is inspired from Mobile Screen lock, here is a study showing the combinations possibilities.
The Dad challenges her to solve a harder puzzle. He explains the rules through a conversation:
You have a mobile lockscreen, you have to solve 3 combinations of 4 dots at the first, then 5, then 6.
You will be given 10 attempts for the first one, then 12 for second, then 15 for third.
When you guess a dot right in the right order, you get a full circle pinned on that spot. But if it is the right dot, but not in the right order, you get a hollow circle pinned in that spot:

2- Emotionally blackmail her sister, to make her walk in the same shoes. Then confront her.

How you can mess up:
if you start with cleaning, you will find out you need cleaning products from supermarket. You will have to change and go to the supermarket, and get back to cleaning later.
If you go to supermarket first which is next to the pharmacy, then you go to Dr. He will send you back to pharmacy.
You can ask your friend Danille to hold your reservation at the Dr.’s and use that time.
Part Two: Confronting Sister

The Friend of this level: Lili, encourages her to face her brother.
Mission:
1- Prove to her brother she can take care of and defend herself if needed.
Part one: Win The Fight
When she went to supermarket in the mom’s challenge: if she wandered enough in the supermarket, she have passed by peppers spray, if she bought it, this ends fast, she sprays her brother, and wins the fight.
If not, it’s a boxing match. The first one to hit 10 hits wins; she has to block hits and to hit when possible.
If she blocks the hits normally (using her arms only), every two hits she blocks, she get affected by a half hit.
If she blocks the hits as the video at the start shows (using arms and one leg), she blocks them completely.

Mission:
1- Face her friend as she doesn’t need downers who emit negative energy all the time while their life is going great.
Part One: Drinking Game
You have to connect the colored circles, rainbow colors sequence, without crossing the lines you already made.
You have to finish each level, before the waiter comes with your next drink. The more you drink the more the screen gets foggy, and you only get glances of clear screen and colors.
As you get more drink, when the colored circles cross each other, you see the color results from merging them together, which will help you figure out what these two colors were.
You have to solve 3 levels like this, with getting more drunk in each one.

The Friend of this level: Abu, he helps her cross the abandoned part of the island, tells her about the old boat’s location, and helps her fix it.
Mission:
1- Find the boat you will sale with on the abandon shore.
2- Fix the boat with your friend, and leave the island.
Part One: Passing the bridge of ghosts
You and your friend have to fight the ghosts on the bridge, it’s foggy so you can’t see clearly, and the bridge is missing some steps. So you have to balance striking the ghosts with your fist with jumping and avoiding the missing steps.
Part Two: Fix the boat
You and your friend have to collect wood and fix the boat before it gets dark, and your family notices you are gone and start searching for you.
